Get Ready for 2017 #BayouCountrySuperfest in #FollowYourNOLA @VisitNewOrleans

This year the 2017 Bayou Country Superfest three-day mega concert will be held in New Orleans, LA. To kick-off the weekend, there will be an outdoor evening celebration on Friday, May 26 in Champions Square, which will be free and open to the public, followed by two huge nights of performances on Saturday and Sunday (May 27 and 28) at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on a spectacular stage by some of the biggest names in country music. Champions Square is also the site of the Festival’s daytime Fan Fest on Saturday and Sunday.

This is the first time 2017 Bayou Country Superfest will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. In the past, the Superfest was held in Baton Rouge. The venue change will add a fresh take this year.

To prepare for this post I checked out iTunes Top 100 Country Charts to compare all the acts that were coming to Bayou Country Superfest. It wasn’t surprising to find that there were 20+ songs soaring from various artists.

Blake Shelton “Every Time I Hear That Song”
Miranda Lambert “Tin Man”
Jon Pardi “Heartache On The Dance Floor”
Brett Eldredge “Something I’m Good At”
Dylan Scott “My Girl”
Rascal Flatts “Yours If You Want It”
Thomas Rhett “Craving You” featuring Maren Morris
Old Dominion “No Such Thing As A Broken Heart”
Dan & Shay “How Not To”
Chris Lane “For Her”

Headliners, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton hold over 35 number one singles together. To say that they’re incredible performers is an understatement, especially considering Miranda has won 52 ACM Awards and Blake has won 83. Miranda Lambert was the big winner at this year’s 2017 ACM Awards, bringing home “Female Vocalist of the Year” and “Album of the Year.” She also stunned the audience with her song “Tin Man.”

Although Blake was absent from this year’s ACM Awards, he was greatly missed! He performed “Came Here to Forget” at the 2016 ACM Awards and that single also scored him a #1. These two headliners are artists you won’t want to miss!

Brooks & Dunn have been singing country music for over 25 years. They’re an act everyone needs to see at least once in their life. They’re finally leaving Vegas to do a show! I know I was never able to make to Vegas, so I can finally see them here- I would go for just this reason alone.

Thomas Rhett has blown up the country music charts this year, especially with his single “Die A Happy Man,” which hit number one six weeks in a row. This ties Taylor Swift’s record back in 2008 with “Our Song.” This deeply personal song, written by Thomas Rhett, was about his wife Lauren. It stole the hearts of everyone-even Nelly. He chose to cut the song!

Country newcomers, Dylan Scott (“My Girl”) and Chris Lane (“For Her”) are climbing up the charts. These guys are bringing all the ladies into town. Their new singles have impressed us and Dylan Scott was even a #CMchat guest. We are so excited for him to perform and we’re crossing our fingers that he’ll perform one of our favorite acoustic songs “Sleeping Beauty.”

This year’s Superfest has a lineup like no other! I don’t think there’s another festival around that can pull these artists together- I mean who could get Miranda and Blake together in the same city over the same weekend? This festival is one for the books and each day brings something different!

Everyone asks “what exactly do you do Jessica?” What some of my family members say, “she tweets for a living” is my favorite, but really the title that puts food on the table is “Social Media Influencer,” the definition sounds simple, someone who influences others through social media, but I consider myself a Citizen Journalist broadcasting and entertaining with news, thoughts, opinions, delivering information in my own unique way. Famous for my ‘sass wit and straight from the hip’ style I’ve always been called a “Social Media Pioneer” in the music industry. I’m also an On-Air/Online Broadcasting Host and Personality, Digital Media Strategist, Country and Music Blogger/Journalist as well as a Nationally recognized Speaker and Founder of Country Music Chat, News and Views Entertainment Website My favorite accomplishment is starting the largest Country Music Hashtag community in the world Country Music’s #CMChat. It all started with a hunch...back in the early 2000’s I would dial up the internet via AOL and join chat rooms whilst watching my favorite programs on TV. Loved watching Reality Shows with my Mom in Tucson, and blowing her mind with how I always knew who was going home on the Bachelor or Big Brother. Don’t think she ever caught on that I was talking to people via computer on the East Coast, where it had already aired. (We didn’t have the uber-spoiler Twitter or Facebook to ruin results and awards shows for us yet.) I’ve been taking over the internet, one tweet at a time and have accumulated over 3 Million followers/friends/fans across all my Social Media networks. Over the years I’ve been consistently ranked as an influential online personality and even named as a Forbes Top 50 Social Media Power Influencer. I was the first person Merle Haggard followed when he got on Twitter and spent the day with Garth Brooks at Twitter and Facebook when joined the social media world.
