Faith Hill calmed down which star at the 2014 CMA’s?

There’s no denying that there is certainly something comforting about Faith Hill. Maybe it’s her warm smile or the fact she’s had such a massive career that you kind of look up to her confidence about everything she does career-wise. Either way, there’s one star that found her especially comforting on a pretty important night for her.

Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry might look like a ball of confidence on stage, but truth is she gets nervous before certain performances.  While she’s used to pumping out high octane hits on stage with her brothers, slowing things down for their version of Glen Campbell’s “Gentle On Mind” gave her some extra anxiety and she ended up staring at Hill the entire performance. That’s right…just straight up fixated on Faith the whole time.

Kimberly explained:

You know, I always have to pick out an artist in the first few rows to sort of interact with, and that song, because so many of our awards show performances have been fast-paced and they come and go so quickly, but “Gentle On My Mind” is a slower-paced song and we really had a moment to, like, take in the first few rows. And Faith is always so gracious, I always interact with her.

Of all the people to stare at, Faith surely was a solid pick. Of course, in true sibling fashion, her brothers thought this was funny and gave her crap for it. Even saying that her staring at Faith may have been what caused security to approach them.

“Is that why her security came up?” she says with a laugh adding, “It was a special moment, though.”

So, does Hill know that she helped Perry get through the performance? “We haven’t talked about it or anything but, I mean, I’m sure she knew,” Perry says.

I’m sure Faith was probably flattered. I mean, Kimberly didn’t receive a restraining order against her so that’s a good sign.
