FINALLY….on behalf of #CMchat and the Country Cadre, I am so excited to welcome one of the coolest guys in the world, (a kind friend) and certainly one of my favorite performers, Colt Ford for a Country Music Chat Twitterview on Monday October 14 at 6pmPT.   Colt is celebrating the five year anniversary of the album that started it all, Ride Through The Country!  Last week he re-released, or revisited the album with new versions of all your favorite songs, and brand NEW guests including Ronnie Dunn, Joe Diffie, The Lacs, Wynonna, Charlie Farley, Brantley Gilbert, Tim McGraw, Jamey Johnson, Charlie Daniels and more!

“Ride Through the Country Revisited” will be available at Walmart throughout the country or you can grab it on iTunes HERE you will immediately receive a download of “Mr. Goodtime” featuring Country Music Legend Ronnie Dunn. “Revisited” will also be available wherever music is sold.
““Ride Through The Country” changed my life forever, and here we are five years later putting a new twist on where it all began. I was blessed to have so many stars apart of making the first record, and now I have a group of legends that are a part of this one.” – Colt Ford

Colt Ford is back with his best album ever and all it took was a return to his roots.“I went backwards,” Colt says. “I went back to Ride Through The Country.” Which is not to say Colt simply re-hashed his breakthrough album. Quite the contrary, in fact.Declaration of Independence, released on Colt’s own Average Joes Entertainment, will no doubt go down as one of the most noteworthy releases this year, which is saying a lot for a man who has already sold nearly a million albums and 3 million downloads. From planting his patriotic flag on the album’s first track, “Answer to No One, “and closing the album with a prayer on the poetic, honest, and heartfelt “Angels and Demons,” which features a conversation with God, the Athens, Georgia native has covered every human emotion on this record and then some.Longtime collaborator Shannon “Fat Shan” Houchins handles production duties on the album; all-star producer Dann Huff (Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts) also adds his skills to Colt’s groundbreaking effort. In all, Colt wrote or co-wrote 14 of the album’s 15 tracks. “This album is very real and honest and by far the best record I’ve ever made,” Colt says with pride. “The last two records—I stand up and cheer for them—but I tried to make a lot of people happy on the last two records and I took the edge off of it. On this record I put the edge back on there.”The former professional golfer and collaborator with Jermaine Dupri is used to adversity, taking country music by storm at a time when Nashville labels deemed him “not pretty enough” and country radio sees him as too distinct to add to their playlists.

The fact is Colt Ford is hard to categorize is exactly why he’s been successful. His fans appreciate his diverse musical talents by the boatloads, as a visit to one of his shows will prove.

Everyone asks “what exactly do you do Jessica?” What some of my family members say, “she tweets for a living” is my favorite, but really the title that puts food on the table is “Social Media Influencer,” the definition sounds simple, someone who influences others through social media, but I consider myself a Citizen Journalist broadcasting and entertaining with news, thoughts, opinions, delivering information in my own unique way. Famous for my ‘sass wit and straight from the hip’ style I’ve always been called a “Social Media Pioneer” in the music industry. I’m also an On-Air/Online Broadcasting Host and Personality, Digital Media Strategist, Country and Music Blogger/Journalist as well as a Nationally recognized Speaker and Founder of Country Music Chat, News and Views Entertainment Website My favorite accomplishment is starting the largest Country Music Hashtag community in the world Country Music’s #CMChat. It all started with a hunch...back in the early 2000’s I would dial up the internet via AOL and join chat rooms whilst watching my favorite programs on TV. Loved watching Reality Shows with my Mom in Tucson, and blowing her mind with how I always knew who was going home on the Bachelor or Big Brother. Don’t think she ever caught on that I was talking to people via computer on the East Coast, where it had already aired. (We didn’t have the uber-spoiler Twitter or Facebook to ruin results and awards shows for us yet.) I’ve been taking over the internet, one tweet at a time and have accumulated over 3 Million followers/friends/fans across all my Social Media networks. Over the years I’ve been consistently ranked as an influential online personality and even named as a Forbes Top 50 Social Media Power Influencer. I was the first person Merle Haggard followed when he got on Twitter and spent the day with Garth Brooks at Twitter and Facebook when joined the social media world.
