On June 3 Texas Red Dirt artist Kyle Park released his new single “Rednecks With Paychecks.” Co-written by Trent Willmon, the track is a perfect rowdy-rocking kick it up for summer redneck jam.
Featuring an upbeat groovy melody and lyrics that describe the good-time living of working rednecks, “Rednecks With Paychecks” can easily be labeled the song of the summer.
Park says the song is for all those people who love their summertime toys.
“This is a song for the boys (and girls) who love their toys – jet skis, RVs, jacked-up pickups, huge BBQ pits, etc.,” Park explains. “Anything with ‘four wheels, a warning label, a throttle, or an outboard motor…we all know a few rednecks with paychecks!’”
The new single may remind you of a past little ditty by Craig Morgan – “Redneck Yacht Club.” It’s safe to say redneck minds think alike. Although Park’s anthem focuses more on the dollars needed to have a good time, it’s still a summertime tune that will spread like wildfire among the country community.
“Rednecks With Paychecks” has a nice cozy flow. Park sings, “We’re gonna blow a little dough, do a little livin’ cause you can’t take it with you to redneck heaven,” which is practically every redneck’s thought process. It’s the “hold my beer and watch this” mentality. Although Park may be subjecting himself to redneck stereotypes, it’s safe to say his new single is right on the money.
