[email protected] Uses Twitter to Connect with Terminally Ill Fan

There is nothing better than starting your weekend off with a feel good moment. It gets in your bones; it fills you with positivity and motivation from head to toe. Okay, sometimes it also makes you cry a little too.

Well, Luke Bryan’s gone and done it again. This time, reaching out to a huge fan via Twitter and making her dark days seem a little lighter. In fact, Luke’s tweet couldn’t have come at a better time, as this is a young lady who needed this special message at that very moment.

Seventeen-year-old Kenna Taylor, a beautiful, vibrant, optimistic teenager, has spent her entire life battling Cystic Fibrosis. She received the news recently that she didn’t have much longer on this earth, and her family opted for at-home hospice care to keep Kenna comfortable. On September 16th, Kenna shared this message with Facebook:

This past week has been really hard on me. When I was first told that I didn’t have long, I was okay with it. I was okay with the fact that I really might leave this world because even though I spent a lot of my life sick; I had an overall good 17 years. I wouldn’t change it for the world, but I don’t believe that it’s my time to go yet. I still have too much fight in me and I believe that if I push myself hard enough, I’ll win. It’s going to be hell, but I think I can do it. And hey, proving people wrong is my all-time favorite job. I highly appreciate all the love that I’ve received from you all.♡♡

Well, word got back to Luke Bryan (via actor James Woods) that one of his huge fans was extremely sick and, with just a thought, concern, and a few words, he took to Twitter, brightening Kenna’s day immensely:

To say Kenna was elated is a slight understatement, as she could barely muster the words to react or respond:

Finally, when she was able to somewhat compose herself, she shot off one more tweet, this time directed at Luke … the man who made her dream come true:

Kenna’s next goal — to meet Luke Bryan and express her gratitude in person. We certainly hope her dreams continue to become realities.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Kenna and her family during this most difficult time.
