As November comes to a close, there is no shortage of new music at country radio. FGL, Blake, and Luke once again had a great week, but Carrie Underwood is topping charts with “Something In The Water.” This week, Garth is back with a new song in addition to a handful of others hoping to chart. Here is what you can look forward to hearing on country music radio this week:
Just a few weeks ago, Garth Brooks released his latest album, Man Against Machine. The song follows “People Loving People” that raced to the Top 20 at country radio. Garth believes the song will find a place in his catalog next to “Unanswered Prayers,” “The Dance,” and “If Tomorrow Never Comes.” That’s a statement that won’t go unnoticed! Give the song a listen and see if you agree.
As part of #CMchat’s 20 to watch in 2014, even we couldn’t have expected Sam Hunt to have the year he is having! He released his debut album in October and already has a #1 single off of the project. He’s back at radio with “Take Your Time,” which is bound to race up the charts. Let us know what you think of Sam’s latest single on twitter, @CMchatLive.
Rascal Flatts have sent their third song off of their latest album, Rewind, to county radio. The namesake of the album went to the top 5 on the charts, but their last single, “Payback” didn’t touch top 20. The new single, “Riot” is reminiscent of classic Flatts and is a favorite among the fans. Hopefully this song with take them back to the top at country radio.
Kristy Lee Cook – Lookin’ for a Cowgirl
Since her time on American Idol, Kristy Lee Cook has been looking to break into the country music world. She is currently signed with Broken Bow and has released two singles on the label that is also home to Jason Aldean and Dustin Lynch. Her latest single, “Lookin’ For A Cowgirl” is about what a cowgirl brings to a relationship. The song is fun and playful. Will it be enough to break the charts? Only time will tell.
James Otto – Somewhere Tonight
James Otto is back with his first song on country radio in four years. Best known for his 2007 hit, “Just Got Started Loving You,” Otto also has had success with “Groovy Little Summer Song.” He’s back and on his own this time. “Somewhere Tonight” is a great song for his return to radio and I hope to hear it on radio soon.
Tate Stevens – Better At Night
Shortly after winning the X-Factor, Tate Stevens released his debut album on RCA Records. “Power of a Love Song” was released to radio and barely charted before the label dropped him. Since then, Tate has been on his own touring and making music. “Better At Night” is Tate’s new single off of a project expected out next year. Give the song a listen.
