Shania Twain Still “Rock(s) This Country” With Newest Award

Shania Twain has received a high honor dubbed “Artist of a Lifetime” by CMT. She will now join the ranks of artists like Kenny Rogers and Merle Haggard. This award comes from the “CMT Artists of the Year.” which premieres on October 20th. Shania is a five-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist and she remains the top-selling female country artist to date. It’s no wonder CMT has given her this award! This will make her the first female artist to ever win this award.

The seventh annual “CMT Artists of the Year” will feature once-in-a-lifetime performances, unexpected tributes and unforgettable toasts as the biggest stars of music, film and television gather to celebrate the five artists selected by CMT as the top artists of the year: Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett,” a CMT press release stated.

Shania is also releasing her music catalog to the world of vinyl, which will include some of the top selling albums country music has ever seen. These four vinyl records included her self-titled debut album- Shania Twain, Woman in Me, Come on Over, and Up. Come on Over is still the best selling female album of all time in any genre and the best-selling country album of all time! Shania’s albums will be available to everyone in stores October 14.
