Single Review: Granger Smith – If The Boot Fits

BBR Music Group’s Wheelhouse Records recording artist Granger Smith just released his new single “If The Boot Fits” to country radio and it’s currently the third most added song on country radio in the U.S.

Smith released his debut album Remington on March 4, 2016 and it was one of the top three selling albums among all country releases that week. His previous single titled “Backroad Song” delivered him a No. 1 hit and I imagine this new single will top the charts as well.

“If The Boot Fits” is an up-tempo track that follows suit with “Backroad Song.” Melody-wise they are very similar, however, lyrically they are complete opposites. Best described as a Cinderella story with a twist, the new single is sure to be well-liked and well-accepted among country radio and fans alike. With lyrics such as “Yeah baby we can run away. My carriage is a 4×4 400 horse Chevrolet” the song keeps its country roots, lyrically.

Catchy songs seem to be Smith’s specialty and this new single is most certainly catchy. It has a nice flow and some pretty cool guitar riffs, and his distinct vocals stand out as well. I imagine Granger Smith has another hit on his hands, you know, “If The Boot Fits.”
